We all know very well that September is all about Macmillan Coffee Morning. Heritage Care Homes could not miss an opportunity to organise tea parties and raise some much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Edwardian Care Home have made a beautiful display of variety of cakes, cupcakes as well as some delicious samosas. Residents together with the staff enjoyed arts inspired session and created some beautiful displays for their arts wall. Their event was supported by local health care professionals who generously donated the money for a very good cause. Home Manager May Puthoor, said ‘I am so proud of my team and how well the event went. We have raised total of £150 and I would like to thank everyone who donated money for Macmillan Cancer Support’.

Georgiana Care Home have organised afternoon tea party. Volunteer Roger Huxley made sure people have been entertained and sang well known songs for residents and their loved ones. Operations Manager Shelley Humphreys had this to say ‘It was so lovely to see residents enjoying music and being able to have a great time with their loved ones’. Georgiana Care Home have raised £37.40

Our grand finale of the fundraising week was done by Victoriana Care Home. Relatives, residents, visitors and the team had a wonderful time dancing and singing thanks to Roger Huxley and enjoying delicious cakes. Home Manager Inesa Jones said ‘I was blown away how much everyone’s got involved and wanted to contribute to make this event a success. Well done to the raffle winners and I hope you will enjoy your prizes. We have raised and impressive £250 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you to everyone who donated the money.
